WikiNodes Project
Project to get everyone to use WikiNodes.
We'll use this page as the center for organizing.
Recruiting
LionKimbro, MarkDilley are pretty enthusiastic about it.
Put your name here if you are interested, and register by clicking the link and the tippy-top-right of the page. Put your name together (like this: JohnDoe) when registering. That way when we click on your name, we go to your page.
Strategy
As far as I can tell, we need to do two things:
Explaing the IntelligenceFailure and OverextendedWiki problems to people, so that they understand the problems.
Get permission to install WikiNodes on wikis. That generally means registration with the local GodKing or community.
Promote the use of
NewsAggregators to aggregate wiki RSS feeds.
Immediate Action
2003-10-02
I, LionKimbro, am already [
http://www.seapig.org/October2003Notes scheduled to talk with the Seattle Python interest group about Aggregators & the Wiki problem.]
I propose that I place WikiNodes on the many Python wikis. The reason I ask for your feedback is that I don't have the experience of TourBus construction under my belt, whereas you do. What do you think? Should we spend more time fleshing out the WikiNode format more? Or should we let it evolve as we place WikiNodes?
I am going to put a WikiNode on the YpsilantiEyeball and play with it, since I am more comfortable with that WikiEngine.
WikiNode - How do we turn this into a good
link? Best, MarkDilley
Yes, I'm writing for you.
