Don't Link to Utilities
You don't need to link to ![[Wiklossary]](/wiki/modern/img/moin-inter.png){kind=small}
UtilityWiki such as Wikipedia, Wiktionary, WikiIndex, alamanacs, graphics servers, or whatever. These links would be the same for every single WikiNode in the world. There's no point. People will learn about these things one way or the other.
The exception, of course, is if you're doing the WikiNode for a UtilityWiki. For example, the Wiktionary WikiNode should delegate encyclopedia articles to ![[WWW]](/wiki/modern/img/moin-www.png){kind=small}
Wikipedia.

I wouldn't even know where to put a WikiNode on Wikipedia, or Wiktionary..!
NodingMediaWiki is a tough call. Especially since they have a very large, very well established, and very political project.
Endorsement by a large institution doesn't seem trivial.

Many people believe that everyone already knows about all the utility wiki.
Well, I think I know *most* of them, but how can I be sure I know about *all* the UtilityWiki without a complete list ?
I agree we don't need that list on *every* WikiNode.
But I think it's a little pre-mature to claim we don't need to link to the "graphics server wiki" or the "almanac wiki" when it doesn't even exist yet.
Or maybe it *does* exist, and somehow I've been missing out -- I need a link !

By introducing the non-existant "almanac wiki," (though, I suppose we could put it in the WikiBardo,) I mean only to clarify the types of things that I mean by "Utility" wiki.
That is, there's only a few utility wiki right now. In the future, there will be more. I want to broaden out the fence posts of what "Utility" wiki means, beyond what we just see today.

David! I love the idea of an AlmanacWiki! That could be a standard peice of the WikiNode project. So we don't add all the utility wiki, we just add the wiki of utility wiki! Right now it could be hosted anywhere, maybe on WikiBardo, but also maybe on SwitchWiki. Best, MarkDilley
